Where the fire flies came from is a mystery but suffice to say they are there and offering a small but welcome amount of light; enough to see that a previously undetected passageway leads off from the corner of the cellar ..
There are going to be a lot of tenuous links like this in the adventure ..
I loved fireflies when I visited Pennsylvania as a child. We don't have them here on the West Coast. It is too bad.
