Lots of games that were/are still freeware cost money on DRM platforms

Usually they are upgraded editions that at least try to throw a bone in the general direction of the customer (at least achievements? or some other Steam integration goodies). This one looks like it's simply capitalizing on the fact it's impulse buy territory and customers may not know better?
