No. Gifted games are from the region that PURCHASED it. That's why there were so many aussies who wanted someone from a sane region to give them Left 4 Dead 2, for example.

you are wrong...
Even steam support will tell you (as a german atleast) to get your game gifted from another region to get a uncut game.
I got fallout 3 from a mate living in the usa - the german version is heavily cut,mine isn´t.

1) There is no difference between the "low violence" version and the "uncut" one.

2)You can change the language back to english by downloading the english language files and replacing them(just google it or look it up on the steam forums.

If I read the description on steam correctly... It only applies to you if you are in Germany. And even then, a simple proxy could fix that.

Apparently the low violence thing is bogus, and the language files can be replaced via a free download from THQ.

I'm not worried about it. I just wasn't paying attention. They may not have even known.
It was the third of three for friends to play together, so I didn't want to have one be different.
