How did you figure it out?

Not too hard (because I got here), but not too easy either. Kicked myself once I got it. I would have given up if it hadn't been for the comment of "CaspianRoach":
"Everything is correct and peachy, if you would just think logically you would get it. Try googling russian alphabet and thinking from there."
Also, if I'd known it was for this game, I probably wouldn't have spent so long trying to get it, even though I want the game. :)

Clever. I've tried various transliterations and russian layout->english layout transforms and nothing worked. And then I thought about a property all alphabets share: they're sorted lists. Но вообще меня это озадачило минут на пятнадцать )

Thank you for your simple but really helpfull comment!! :)

That was not hard and not easy. That was just that, had to think about it but finaly got it.

Wasn't too bad. Looked over the comments to see what others did. At first I thought of translating it by finding the English alphabet equivilant. Then I looked for the number equivilant to change to HEX but the value for the y was 900 so I knew that was wrong. It led me to think about comparing the positions of it to the normal alphabet though and that's how I found it. Anyways, thanks for the puzzle!

Actually really easy. There were 3 possibilities that a non Russian could think of. The keyboard one, the abbreviature one, and this one.

hard for a non non russian

Thanks but already got the game ^^
I found it after CaspianRoach wrote about googling the russian alphabet. First link was Wikipedia, and I simply though about transposing the letters in the little top-right box to our Latin letters. I was really going out on limb there.

Damn I'm a spoilerer.

Wow! That one's been bothering me since last night. I knew I would eventually figure it out but I felt dumb for not seeing through it. Tried translating from cyrillic to latin, tried rotating/mirroring letters to get latin ones. Tried matching keyboard positions between russian & english. Finally had a flash tonight about alphabetical order. Won'T enter since I already have the game but still glad I managed to figure it out.

Yeah, that puzzle could have been written only by someone who knows literally nothing about Cyrillic, since some of these letters aren't really letters -.-

Took a while to realize based on the first hint, but eventually got it. I have the game, but thanks anyway!

Really easy. Took me about five minutes to figure out. I already have this game, though, but thanks for the puzzle and the offer, sir :]

Oh I have it already =(. Well. Thanks anyways!

Thanks for the puzzle but I have the game. I kept typing w instead of x for a while, cos wiki said that ц is the 23rd letter not the 24th. But, wiki might be wrong, so I figured it out.

Tricky! It was obvious that literal translations weren't working, so I thought what the easiest way someone who didn't know Russian would go about it. Disappointed in myself I didn't get it till after the clues though. ;)

Author made it much more easier with that hints, so in the end there'll be 200+ people -> chanse to win is not higher, than in any giveaway group -> no sense of puzzle and using your brain.

My apologies, but i dont see you creating any giveaways. And if you dont like your chances, then simply dont join the giveaway.
And if you want a giveaway with less people to join create your own topic, and make it so impossible that no one will win

Man, no try to offence you, I thank you for your giveaway, but it's wrong logic: no giveaways = bad guy. And, BTW, it's your first giveaway, just to notice.
I just always thought the aim of this giveaways was just to give the cleverest ones chance to win, because after SGifts became open - it's no chance you can win on any of public giveaways. So, less people enter the giveaway - better it for them, more chance to win.
And, you know, if you were attentive a bit more, you'll see I live in god damn Belarus. You live in US. We have average salary 340$. USA - 3900$. I'm damn student. Do you know, what stipend we have here? 60 bucks! God damn 60 bucks we should live on 'cause we are prohibited to work while studying! Food here, as much as lots of other goods, cost here almost as much as in Moscow, one of the most costly cities in the world. And from this 60 bucks I should get 10 bucks to create giveaway. Question: How many days I won't be able to buy food for me? So, before actually measuring anyone on how much giveaways he created just try to learn does he even have ability to buy it?
Again, no try to offence you, I'm really thankful, just don't be so critical on people, when they're trying to express their opinion.
