If you do it by accident, it's only a bit foolish, but not stupid. Real stupidity is posting a referral link when you aren't allowed to, and thinking that you'll get away with it. ;)
Eh, I should've known better anyway. General rule is delete everything including and after the question mark. Definitely agree that thinking they can get away with rule violations is all the dumbs though.

Though I'm kind of fine with newbies making mistakes. It depends on how they react. If they show remorse and improve in the fure, ok. If not, well that's what blacklists are for.
Then you technically should blacklist me. If you saw my ticket to support when I requested to get unbanned... Fuck this is embarrassing. I really hope nobody ever sees it.
