therefore 1010 is not a correct answer because it results in an output value of 1
I've already figured it out. I was rather using general equations such as (A AND NOT B) XOR (C AND NOT D). the formar "ABCD" confused me since you used format "XY" before that and that's different. You might also want to check my comment in the first giveaway.
