Leaning more towards the later. There is a system to my chaos, but when working on things I prioritize having everything easily accessible over things looking neat and tidy, which makes it look messier than it is.

I am clean, but messy. In other words, dishes are washed immediately after eating, garbage is thrown into the garbage can, but my possessions are disorganized and my office tends to resemble a bird's nest more than an Ikea catalog.
