I usually prefer the original works, but in some cases the remakes are even better. Did you watched or played something redone recently?
BTW, are you looking forward to The Full Throttle remastered?
The last remade thing I played/saw was Monkey Island. I kept switching back and forth to see the differences in all the areas. :D
Full Throttle was one of my favourites back then, and I'm glad that more people will get to play it.
But DAM... I wish they also tried to make something new again. People like Dedalic and WadjetEye Games showed that you can still make good new point'n'click adventures.
It's a 1:1 remake. They drawed onto the old scenes. You can switch between the two with one button press. :)
It has a few old design choices (backtracking and few obsure puzzles), but it's still a good adventure.
Haven't played original full throttle, so no opinion on that matter. I think the closest for a remake could be is Evoland that imitates old game styles ( I know it's not a remake, but trying to be played like the originals) - the JRPG random encounters are infuriating, worse than anything I experienced in gaming. I don't even know if this is an ontopic answer, or off :D
I actually just came out of the cinema a few hours ago, watched Point Break. I haven't watched the original, but of all the reviews I read, the original was definitely way better. But I kinda enjoyed the new one too, less for the plot (it's bad) and more for the stunts and visuals.
Wait what? Full Throttle remastered? WHERE!!! It's a gem adventure which I liked the most! I think I must be blind that I don't know anything about it :D

I still have plans on playing Grim Fandango Remastered but I can't because of my backlog. I have a lot of unfinished titles :(
