You take wood from the fireplace and attempt to light the door on fire.

However, since this is real life and not fantasy land, the door does not burst into flames instantly but instead just singes a little.

You exhaust any remaining turn (s) in the attempt, and as soon as it/ they are used up, the door opens.

This has the effect of knocking the burning wood onto your shirt, and that doesn’t take nearly as long to catch on fire.
