Ignore that part of the faq. Unless it is a public giveaway, the person has the "right" to get a new winner for the giveaway. Some people are asses enough to decide they dont want to give you a gift if you add them asking for it or about it. So, that little advice the faq gives you could actually cost you a gift in some scenarios. Just be patient and hope for the best. In most situations the gift comes instantly, but sometimes they might take awhile.
