Day 5
Fifth lesson learnt: Enjoy the little things
If you're having a bad day or you're not feeling animated, this is something that can actually help. From my experience, I can say that in many days which I wished that were over when it was just midday, focusing in a simple thing that I enjoy (such as enjoying the taste of a cup of chocolate or coffe without doing anything else, or listening to your favourite song) helped me to survive them. Those little "disconnections" are useful to reconnect with yourself and your chores. But, of course, don't confuse these little breaks with procrastinating until you realise that you haven't done anything in the whole afternoon. Little controlled breaks from time to time renew your energies.

This is important not only for breaks, but life in general. We all live and work hard with this elusive "One day" in our heads. One day we'll be better. One day we'll have everything we want. But life is not like that. Waiting for a perfect future only stops you from finding joy in the now. It's important to draw joy from what we can and what we have. It may be all we will ever have and it needs to be good enough. That is not to say we should not have plans and hopes and dreams. Those keep us alive and going after all. But we should not rest our entire happiness on those alone.

Completely agree with you: don't just look at the future or you'll miss the present ^^
