To make it short: it's derivated from "molotov", but it was only some stupid e-mail address from more than 10 years ago.
Would you like to know more ? Since we are now allowed to choose our usernames on SG, I found that the one I wanted was taken by an inactive user. I got in touch with him via Steam, he nicely came to SG to change his nickname so it becomes available. There's no user by that name any more, but the nickname is still unavailable. Next month, I plan on making a birthday train in honor of my soon-12-months-old support ticket on this matter :)
