This giveaway was originally intended to be a puzzle giveaway, but it seems that my puzzle-making ability isn't at the right level for this site. So... now it's just a discussion giveaway.
Just typing the answer to the puzzle makes me see why it didn't work. Too many intermediate steps. Oh well, I've learned my lesson, and hopefully will do a better one next time :)
