I'll go with an axe.

I don't like to be in the middle of the fight and I always was more OHK person. So slow, strong bow with ability to kill from afar is my way :D Same goes with sniping rifles.

Bow and arrow in real life (as in if I had to choose, not that I actually have skills in archery lol) and in rogue-likes and turn based games.
But swords in first person/third person RPGs.

axe - my choice

I'm a big fan of the fighter class. The kind that wields a one handed sword and a shield. :)

A short, easily concealable sword such as a tantō. Or a swordstick.
