I thought most givers consider giveaway comments as spam since the comment inbox was implemented. Nowadays I just comment after winning, to not annoy the giver with useless "thx!"comments filling their inboxes. Most of those people are bots anyway...
But if you insist on commenting, here's a comment which is not just a generic "omg! thx! ".
depends on givers and on GA description. A lot of contributors put stuff in GA description they intend entrants to read. Ofc it won't force entry-bot to read it and neither will comment make you sure he did read it, but n comment on GA that specifically request entrant to comment will give 100% assurance he did not bother reading description and deserves BlackList.
Also as for comment spam, you can mark all comments in 2secs with one click anyway, as well as look only for comments from discussions/trdes without GA spam as well.
