Favorite holiday tradition would probably be on Father's and on Mother's day - in Serbia, when you're a kid, on those days you're supposed to surprise your and tie their legs together (you can do it early while tey still sleep, or srawl under the table while they're eating etc) - if you manage to do it, they owe you a present in exchange for you untying them :)

I have two favorite annual family Christmas traditions, both tied to specific albums: listening to "If I Should Fall From Grace With God" by The Pogues (mainly for Fairytale of New York) while putting up the tree, and listening to Emmylou Harris's "Light of the Stable" on the way back from visiting my grandmother on Christmas Eve when I was younger. It was generally late at night by the time we went home, and while we were all looking up at the sky trying to spot Santa my mom would put that album on.

Hm, my family celebrates Christmas, but we really don't have any sort of special traditions. We just do the usual stuff.

The only tradition I can think of is not getting anything for the holidays since my parents never really celebrated them.
