I do not watch anime as much as I used to years ago, but I like to find something new and interesting from time to time.
My main areas of interest are art and animation, especially something complex, artistic, non-generic. As for the plots, I miss the "old times" - haven't seen anything inspiring for a while.
Do any of you know The Tatami Galaxy?

Haven't been on top of what is hip and new with anime in about 5-10 years, but Baccano! is quite good. It even involves the "old times" - its set mostly in the 1930s. =P

But seriously, i loved Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass and bunch of other animes. Also Great Teacher Onizuka, Golden Boy, Gintama for the laughs :D
