You know what's funny? I've given away 20 steam gifts through email in the past month, and I think 2 have thanked me after winning. They are automatically added as a friend on Steam because of the way the gifting works. They could have sent a messge through Steam or even commented in the giveaway after it had ended. I always try to say thank you after winning either in the comments of the giveaway (if it's a key) or on Steam (if it's a gift). I don't mind people not commenting before they win because I don't always do it, but after winning a game and not saying anything kinda annoys me.
