A bar on the train? That's it, this is my favourite!

I'd feel so out of place on that train, it's so fancy. But that castle is so cool.

Also, I love Koi-Koi. I wish I could find a set of Hanafuda cards at one of the Asian markets around here, but I don't think they sell them.

I actually run a business that sends stuff like that overseas all the time! There's quite a few interesting design varieties, some modern ones that use video game and anime characters in the same beautifully artistic style. Let me know if you're interested and I can probably source some things for you. :)

I remember at one point Nintendo Rewards had a set featuring their characters which was awesome, I can only imagine how awesome yours would be... (0.0)

What kind of pricing are they?

They can be pretty cheap for a basic set, like $5, up to $1000 for a deluxe/antique set.

Here's a full listing of current auctions:
https://www.kuboten.com/search?query=花札

And then there's also this video game relevant listing (^_^):
https://www.kuboten.com/yja_itemdetail?auctionID=m108816410

We charge a 1000 yen basic fee for each transaction plus 10% of the total cost as our commission, so that would be added on to the cost of the auction or store item (we also can order from places like amazon.co.jp). You will also have to pay for the cost of international shipping, but a basic hanafuda set sent via economy airmail would probably be only about $5. If you have more questions or are interested and need some help, feel free to send a message through the support tab at the kuboTEN website. :)
