Life is like that. There are things that irritate humans. You could just ignore it, but that would hardly be getting over it. Talking with your girlfriend about it would be embarrassing, but it could be useful. It won't harm your relationship in any way; rather, keeping emotions kept inside would do far more damage. Ignoring the problem altogether is never a solution.
