yes every time i see this game on sale (and assuming i actually have money at the time), i buy it just to make a giveaway of it.

I prefer whales. In addition to being very intelligent, they have absolutely amazing skulls.
If you ever get the chance to examine one, take a look at the nasal cavity - it's really oddly shaped and lacks turbinal bones because of the nature of blowholes.

i think its neat how their blowhole isnt connected to their mouth. like, with most mammals its connected, but not for them. since they'd drown otherwise.

I'm studying entomology, so I don't know terribly much about marine biology. That which I do know fascinates me, though.

Depends what you're looking for sciaenops, sharks are generally better killers, plus they can see/feel electromagnetic fields to hunt with.

yes, plz. The fins don't even add anything to shark fin soup, no taste or nutrients or texture. You can make the soup without the fins and its the exact same soup. It's added because of the myth that sharks never get sick, a theory thats been proven false, [http://news.discovery.com/animals/sharks/sharks-do-get-cancer-tumor-found-in-great-white-131205.htm](there are sharks with cancer swimming around). It's ridiculous.
I also worked at an aquarium one summer, and i got to be there during shark week. so i talked a lot about shark conservation with people, and the parents would just be like, "pssh, sharks don't need saving, kill them all, they're monsters." THE ADULTS WERE THE ONES THINKING LIKE THIS. NOT THE KIDS. THE PARENTS.
....ocean conservation is something i feel very strongly about. shark conservation included.

Yeah, I read that sharks kill about 12 people a year on average. Humans kill 12,000 sharks per hour on average, mostly for finning. It is an almost unimaginable amount of pointless killing.

My fave fact to throw out is that more folks are killed by bees and lightning than by sharks (also by car accidents and, if what I read recently is accurate, by folks who weren't looking where they were going whilst taking a selfie). And I usually couple that with "If you're still afraid of getting shark bit, there is one surefire way to avoid it (besides killing all the sharks). Don't go in the ocean. It's a terrible place to swim anyway, you got jellyfish and stingrays and riptides. Especially riptides. That's another thing more likely to take you out than a shark." My personal meme is "[x] is more likely to kill you than a shark," which doesnt...actually...make it a meme, but still.
I also like to tell the story about the time I accidentally kicked a shark and it didn't bite me. If the shark doesnt bite a person who, for all intents and purposes, deserves it...then yeah, maybe, just maybe they ain't mindless eating machines.

No need to apologize at all. I'm on the same page. People have irrational fears. People worry about flying in a plane but they are much more likely to die on the drive to the airport than they are in the plane.
