Celebrating my 3000th game, four years on SteamGifts, and my journey to Level 7!
One of my early memories of gaming is playing the 2D sidescrolling Prince of Persia on a Mac at a huge two-story CompUSA store.

I have sand in my gratitude, but I'm told that's a good thing for these games.

Mine too! Used to play adventure games with my family, but that was one of my first "action" games. I'd play with a friend, and we'd press SHIFT-SPACE-ENTER and run together because we thought it made him jump further :D.

Sandy thanks!
2d sidescrolling prince of persia was literally the first game I've played on "IBM" PC
(at home I had Commodore 64)

Jungle Hunt was my favorite game on the ol' Commodore. :)
I think we still had a Vic-20 for that, but I may have run it on a 64 later on. And other than an original gray-colored Gameboy and a Wii, those are the only console systems I've ever owned...

My first encounter with the series was "Prince of Persia 3D" in a friends house. Then I bought a PS2 with Sands of Time bundled and later rebought the trilogy for PC. I don't regret a cent spent. :)
