I'm so lost to name one. Thank you for leaving me deep in thoughts remembering all the awesome games I played. Civilization series, Dune II, Unreal Tournament '99, Warcraft series, Shortline, Fallout. Hell, I didn't name any significant amount of games i like, though can't pick the one and only, 'cause they made a mark in it's own way.
Why these games? I suppose they introduced me to gaming and kept me with a story/soundtrack/visuals or just with replayability... or even lack of other games :) From modern ones I'd say: Europa Universalis - the same reasons

You seriously named some of my favorite games, DUNE was such an awesome rts, but gets little recognition these days.
If you like EU I have to recommend CK2 if you haven't played it yet and enjoy that period of history as well.

Yeah, CK II is top priority for me, I played it for some time to try it out (free weekend I guess) but stopped because this game deserves to be bought and when I feel I'm ready to jump deep into the game, I will buy it and all the DLC (dam you Paradox!)

Ah Paradox, the bane of my wallet. Your best bet is to wait until they discount DLC packs, which they're smart enough to do fairly regularly.

Well... M&B Warband again?
Great fighting mechanics, open world, leveling :> How can anyone not love this?

Civilization V. The game I really enjoyed, though I suck.

There's lots I like, so can't really choose.
Heavy Rain maybe? Because when I first played it I thought it was innovative.

the binding of isaac because dead babies!

I love the deadpool game. The character is portrayed exactly how I imagined from the comics

HOMM3. Loved it.

So much love for HOMM3. Best part was hotseating with friends in both high school and then later, in college: I worked a front desk job in the dorm with a buddy, we'd bring one of our desktop pc's down every shift to play it while sneaking booze in our big gulp cokes. Those were good, simpler times:)

Same here. Played countless times with my roommates when things like study or work seemed less relevant... :D

Too many to choose just one, but I will say Carmageddon 2. It was the first of the series that I played and it started me down the twisted games genre... I now work at RWS and good friends with the people at Stainless.

Good for you:)Always makes me happy to learn when people work a job that is also a passion.
I still have fond memories of playing Twisted Metal 2 and Carma 2, especially that great Iron Maiden soundtrack in the second game!

WARBAND AND YOU KNEW THAT :D
Because it is simply an amazing RPG. Love it.

We really need to do some MP sometime, I actually want to schedule a tourney with maybe Heretical Gamers and some other Warband groups I'm in,perhaps.

I'm totally in for that. I'm heading out for vacation the next couple weeks, but when I get back we can make something happen :D

Hard to decide. Guess it is Civilization or xcom, cause they are great strategy games and you can play them again and again.

But you already asked this.
My next favorite game is Payday 1 and 2.
Because I can pew pew pew bots and rage at bad teammates when I'm the one that messes up and then pews the bots instead of my teammates.

I don't have one favorite game, so here I'll go with... rolls dice ... the Mass Effect trilogy.
Mainly because of awesome characters and huge amount of world-building. It's the first FPS I've played (and finished) and that's something, because I can't aim to save my life.

To my shame, I haven't played ME2 or 3, but loved the first one. I dunno what's stopping me, except that I don't own 3:P

PAYDAY 2. I love the coop. Having a great team and success in a mission where everyone did their job is very cool. Also, like the action there. Sad, devs starting a pay DLC race and I stopped playing it.
