If so, Pacific Rim with better writing and make the mechs half alien, so they can regenerate slowly after being hit, and moving the nuclear reactor to a spot less hit by aliens (crotch) so that it's less likely to spontaneously meltdown, like that nuclear Evangelion in.. you should all know what Evangelion is. If I can't use a movie, then.. Attack on Titan manga. I would change it so there's also a zombie horse horde outside with the titans. I don't know why, just that.
