Lol, no, you misunderstand! My first love.. as in I can hardly see the controls because I'm not tall enough to see the screen clearly, my nose poking just over the edge of the machine.. falling back and forth as I stand on my tip-toes, (used to play it on a ferry) ... and I'd button mash like crazy to beat my sister. I would never tarnish the memory of those days by doing something as sensible as learning combinations! ;) I will be your friend <3 Once I figured how to toss Scorpions attack.. I never needed anything else :D
I completely agree, once you've found one mash-all-the-buttons-in-a-certain-way that you like you should stick to it. It WILL work even when you change character in the game, much to the chagrin of your opponents who vehemently claim the opposite.
Mortal Kombat was one of my first gaming loves! (The old arcade version!)
