What’s Red Goddess’s Story?
The story resolves around a young goddess named Divine who is haunted by her own subconscious. Something unknown is tearing her apart from the inside out, destroying her mind and her soul. Deciding to right this wrong, she enters into her own subconscious and discovers a planet within her own mind. Filled with trees, mountains and caves, she will journey this world and discover what her true connection to it is. And more importantly, who she is.
…..but soon we realize that there is more to this adventure than what we first thought. Explore a mysterious Planet driven by the subconscious mind of the main character: Divine.

Love metroidvania-style games. In fact, I was planning on dedicating the entire month of November (MetroidVember... Shush) playing through a bunch that I picked up over the summer.

Sure. On Steam, I have these games tagged with "Metroidvania" (whether it be due to the exploration aspects, or the "return later with X item to progress through Y section")
Aquaria, Capsized, Castle in the Darkness. Cave story +, Crystal Catacombs, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Full Bore, Guacamelee, Hell Yea, Inescapable, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Out There Somewhere, Outland, Rex Rocket, Secrets of Rætikon, Steamworld Dig, Super Win the Game, Teslagrad, UnEpic, Valdis Story, Waking Mars, Wings of Vi, Xeodrifter, and You Have to Win the Game
And currently on my wishlist for other Metroidvania-style games, I have: Ori and the Blind Forest, Red Goddess, Axiom Verge, Ghost Song (unreleased), Finding Teddy 2, Mystik Belle, The Swapper, Knytt Underground, Bunny Must Die, Traps n Gemstones, Apotheon, and Elliot Quest

Ori and the Blind Forest is incredibly good, I can't recommend it enough! My favourite one is Dust, but objectively Ori can be better, especially technically. It's really creative. Axiom Verge is on my wishlist as well, it's just weird, in a really good way :) I can't recally a few names you mentioned - Wings of Vi and Rex Rocket are on my WL but I don't really remember them - but I know I want them because I loved the concept :D
Xeodrifter, Ghost Song, Mystik Belle, Elliot Quest and Bunny Must Die doesn't ring any bells, so I'll go store-lurking :3
