One of my favorite movie quotes is an old Clint Eastwood movie.

"You forgot your fortune cookie. It says, 'You're shit out of luck.'"

(One of my favorite moments from Unforgiven, maybe my favorite Eastwood movie):

The Schofield Kid: [after killing a man for the first time] It don't seem real... how he ain't gonna never breathe again, ever... how he's dead. And the other one too. All on account of pulling a trigger.

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

That is THE BEST Clint Eastwood movie ever. So many good actors in it. And I love how the hero is sort of an anti-hero because he used to be a wild gunslinger killing people left and right when he was young. But his wife changed him and now he's not who he used to be but he still has that reputation.

:) Yeah, everyone is so on point:Morgan Freeman and Eastwood are perfect together, Hackman's great, the guy who plays Schofield is good in the role, and all the women's parts are played with aplomb. It's not just my favorite Eastwood movie, it's probably in my top 10 or 15 movies.

Here's a quote addressing what you were saying above:

Little Bill Daggett: You'd be William Munny out of Missouri. Killer of women and children.

Will Munny: That's right. I've killed women and children. I've killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you did to Ned.

So cold

"let me give you a little inside information about god. god likes to watch. he's a prankster. think about it. he gives man instincts! he gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does he do, i swear for his own amusment, his own private, cosmic gag reel, he sets the rules in opposition. it's the goof of all time. look but don't touch. touch, but don't taste! taste, don't swallow. ahaha! and when you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is he doing? he's laughin' his sick, fuckin' ass off. he's a tight-ass! he's a sadist! he's an absentee landlord. worship that! never!"

One of my favorite romantic dialogs:

  • You wanna come to the wedding?
  • Only if I can sit on the bride side
  • You'll find it a bit lonely on my side
  • Your side always was a bit lonely but I wouldn't sit anywhere else.

Leeloo: Mul-ti-pass.
Korben Dallas: We're newlyweds. Just met. You know how it is. We bumped into each other, sparks happen...
Leeloo: Mul-ti-pass.
Korben Dallas: Yes, she knows it's a multipass. Anyway, we're in love.

Gotta say, I'm really not happy with how much the show has deviated from the books the last couple of years though.

Hoban 'Wash' Washburn: This landing is gonna get pretty interesting.
Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: Define "interesting".

I still love Wash's intro, with the dinosaurs:
"Curse you and your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
"Mine is an evil laugh!"

Yep, Wash was great. Jayne was my favourite character though. I was tempted to post Kaylee's quote because I thought it was funny, but it seemed inappropriate for this. I will post the best bit anyway below.

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: Oh, God! I can't know that!
Jayne Cobb: I could stand to hear a little more.
