One dev behind this game threw a hissy fit on twitter and made a threat against Gaben because the game was incorrectly marked as still being in early access on the store front.
That particular dev was let go (or resigned, depending on who you believe) and now I think the game is owned by a totally different company. Such a weird story.
It wasn't a threat as much as it was someone having a tantrum in their social media space. Still uncool, but people trying to portray it as an actual threat seriously need to check their hyperbole. Glad they got the game back up for sale after he quit. Would have been terrible to punish the whole creator team for the actions of one idiot.
Developers released the game and put a discount on it if I remember, or it perhaps happened during one of the steam sales. Steam tagged the game as Early Access even though it was a full release and one of the developers went nuts over it.
This is one of his tweets: “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME STEAM? WE JUST RELEASED OUT OF EARLY ACCESS AND THIS IS OUR FRONT PAGE BANNER?” (The front page banner stated the game is in early access while it wasn't)
Then one of his following tweets said: “I am going to kill gabe newell. He is going to die.”
That's when Valve decided to remove the game from its store. After that the developer who posted those tweets resigned from the company and shortly after that Valve allowed the game back to the store.
I read that the devs of this game were crappy but I love the game itself. Can't wait to play it! Thanks for the chance!

Really? Jesus. Some people need to calm down. You wouldn't even be SELLING your game without Steam, threatening Gabe would NOT be the smartest move.
