An alternative to using ASF is to browse to the steam game store page in question, open the browser developer console (usually F12 shortcut) and paste the following code (replacing the number with the subID you want):
jQuery.post('//store.steampowered.com/checkout/addfreelicense', {action: 'add_to_cart', sessionid: g_sessionID, subid: 532301});This only works for sub/??? ids and not app/??? ids. If you have an appID, you can consult steamdb to find the corresponding "Free on Demand" package number.
For example, take the above game Chester One. From the url we know that appID=348800, so if we check steamdb (https://steamdb.info/app/348800/subs/) we can find the corresponding free package which is subID=532301, and that's the number you use in the command above.
Obligatory warning: while the command I mentioned is safe and valid, in general you should not trust random people telling you to copy/paste whatever code in your browser console ;)

I think it should be better to post new messages on the 2021 thread but I'll answer you here.
Yes, there's a limit number of requests in a limited time, both valid and invalid. For example, if you try to redeem ~10 invalid steam keys using ASF in a single batch you'll probably get a Fail/LimitedRate error. You then have to wait one or two hours to be able to send more requests, if you try and send a new one earlier I think it will "reset" the timer again.
The same happens for valid requests, I'm not sure about the limit but, for example, if you try to add all free games from a month (the way Joseahfer lists them in the OP) you won't be able because there are usually too many. Usually you'll have to do it in batches of ~10-15 VALID games. And you'll have to wait for some time between batches.

You can activate up to 50 valid licenses every hour, two or three months (depending on the licenses) can work fine. The problem is, as you say, if there are several invalid licenses, then you have to wait an hour.
And yes, the best thing would be to move all this to the new thread.

Well this is a weird one but it looks like this one may've gone free back on Dec 02 2020? It was updated a few days ago so I happened to notice. There's also no buy/add to library on the page but I was able to add it on SteamDB. Maybe they're planning on removing it?

FreeOnDemand games don't increase your profile counter, don't drop cards and they can be removed from the licenses page. NoCost games are just the opposite, except for cards with the latest Steam changes.
