It's not a bad game but the Performance award should've went to the Connor voice actor instead of Arthur, as he was playing an actual semi-convincing next-gen robot unlike the other just semi-regular human characters.
Soundtrack one was also kinda "eh, let's just give it to RDR2"

Bryan Dechart, the actor of Connor, streamed himself playing the game and explained there at one point how the recordings went, where due to the extremely branching storyline and changing character relations he had to take into account the multiple layers needed to appropriately portray voice & acting to be in the right tone, in addition to most dialogue scenes being motion captured. This was a huge effort and performance by him, so he really would have deserved that award.
Not to forget last winner Hellblade had similar work put into and won it for that reason too.
They should have giving rdr2 one of the 2 awards that God of War got instead, if they really felt the need to throw a price at it.
oh and the music of Detroit is damn awesome too, with three different composers, one for each character.

I missed it last year so this is new to me. Seems like a neat idea to have prizes but admittedly I'm not a fan of them just adding one random game to your library. They could've allowed you to pick which prizes you'd be interested in winning so some titles wouldn't go to waste by just landing on people who have zero interest in ever touching them. Oh well. :P

I won. Just found out too. I didn't get a green notification icon during the show. Hell, I only made it into the show when it was 2 hours in. I didn't win either of the two games I was interested in, but Dead Cells could be a fun little adventure. I only found out about it when checking my email 10 minutes ago.
