I understood the hint just did not succeed. And as it was a single character I tried bruteforcing, then swapped 2 monsters and tried again. Perhaps I missed a case or skipped a letter, I was/am tired actually. I will try to wake up in time and check again.

I have gotten the suspects to speak of their crime and I've gathered enough evidence for any normal crime to go to court for. However, since my clues didn't add up, the judge told me to gather more evidence...
Yes, I've read the hints, and I'm sure I'm supposed to know what to do with the confessions the suspects gave me, still I'm too new a detective to get my admission into court ;(

Solution:
- The criminals were hidden in Jatan's daily thread, especifically #209 to #213 (see attached pictures), under my comments.
209, 210, 211, 212, 213 - A character was hidden in each one of the pictures. The only hard character to get is Granbull's character (#210). Adjusting the brightness and contrast could help you (it was a capital E under its nose).
- The order in my story was: the 2 dogs, first the small and then the big one. A blowfish and a turtle. And finally the giant insect. Checking the pictures that is 209,210,211,213,212, that correspond with the characters LE6tK

There was no need to know anything about pokemons, just find the thread (I even told you to search the thread from around 1 week ago), see the pictures, get the characters, order them according with my story, and use the code to go to the discussion.

I found all the letters except E from the very beginning. I also found the original image and made the difference of your image and the original one but didn't notice anything. So I decided that it's hidden in some other way. I could still bruteforce it which I decided not to do. But even if I would do... all the time I was thinking of GA link, not discussion.

Definitively, even after tinkering with contrast and brightness, saturation and the like, I could never understand it. I thought it was a "a" from what I could gather. I should have tried bruteforcing just that letter D:

Shit, it looks like I have the dumbs. This how my brain was interpreting the image this whole time: instead of the character grey line I used the goddamn background to shape a character.

I got all the missing letters but had LE6Kt. I even searched for the thread by that code. Problem I should have swapped the K and t. Grrrrr....

Hello steamgifters.
I bring some bad news again :/ I have been robbed by a group of wild animals called The Pokémon. These criminals attacked me while I was going to make a train for all of you.
How that happened? Well, first 2 dogs, a small one and a big one, appeared and started to pursue me, trying to bite me with their thunder fangs, scary! I had to jump into a nearby pond. But then, and I am ashamed of it, a blowfish and a turtle tried to poison me. I swam as fast as I could, and luckily that turtle wa reaaally slow. But the blowfish managed to jab me, poisoning me. I could go out of the pond, totally soaked and with a great swelling in my right leg. I limped and sat on the ground with my back against a tree, thinking I was already safe, but suddenly a giant insect appeared and, with a quick attack, it knocked me out :( When I woke up I realized I had been stolen 5 letters.
Help me to find them! I heard they have their secret base where the counting never ends! (they are all "in consecutive numbers", you don't have to search too much)
Level 2+. The train leaves in 3 days.
