Here is what happened steamgifters you decide blacklist or not? Made give away for level 2 sent gift to winner accidently sent them wrong game from my inventory my fault. They told me so I sent them the correct game now they won't give the wrong game back no big deal my fault. In addition they say they won't mark the correct game as received until they "feel like activating it" Should I blacklist them or not you get to decide? Interesting everyone says blacklist but no one votes=>
Update #2 The guy just sent me another email with this "ok, sorry but i have to give you negative feedback... i entered in a Witcher 2 giveaway" after I sent him this as proof that i had sent him the correct game:
Dear pkay000,

Thank you for your recent gift purchase on Steam. Your gift has been sent to ****@hotmail.com.

If you're new to Steam, you can install the free Steam application at any time:
http://www.steampowered.com/getsteam
To check the status of your gift purchase, launch the Steam application on your PC and, from the "Games" menu, select "Manage gifts & guest passes..." Once your friend has redeemed their gift in Steam, your gift's status will change from "Sent" to "Redeemed."

This email message will serve as your receipt. You can also access your Purchase History
online at any time.
The Witcher 2
2.99 USD

Update #3 After typing this I have added him to the blacklist he is only the second person on my blacklist. The first person got there for the same reason refusing to mark a giveaway I sent him as received after he activated the game; I had to contact support to have to fixed in my profile!

Update #4 I will be contacting support after the seven days has past to report him i bought the game and sent the gift directly from the buy screen he has the game, since it was never in my inventory I cannot reclaim the game from him. I can not request a reroll the best i can do is report him and force feedback for it and hope they ban him for this.

Since I assume both games you sent to that person were giftable copies from your Steam inventory, after 7 days create a "Request Received Feedback" ticket and include screenshots of your gifting history on Steam (available from the inventory page), plus screenshots of your conversation with the winner.

one was a copy from my inventory and the other copy a bought a brand new copy and sent it directly to him from the buy screen that is the email that I copy and posted at the top of the thread=> That is what I am going to do after seven days I am going to send all the emails to support=>

Both copies should be visible in the gifting history, including the one you sent directly from the cart. Go to your inventory, click More -> View Gift History.

Yes, that is correct. If a gift hasn't been redeemed yet, it's sitting in your inventory showing the "Sent to: ___@hotmail.com" line.

Examine your inventory. Gifts are stored in the order they were acquired, so if the game you bought and sent was the last purchase you did, it should be somewhere in the end. Click on the gift and look at the description. Somewhere after the game description it should say "Sent to: ____@hotmail.com" indicating that this indeed is the copy you sent to someone's email. If it's not there, then it's been redeemed.

You don't have to wait seven days, you can report him right now for refusing to give you back the first game.

you can report some one til after 7 days. He has 7 days to mark it as received before I can do anyhting. That is part of the rules just like you have 7 days to send the game after the end of the giveaway. If you have anymore questions you can ask me or add me on steam=>

Really it's weird that people can react like this... this winner is a dumb...
When I came to this site, I made a giveaway (not rich cause sick so I choose a little game to try ; ) )

If something like that happen to me it's direct blacklist and I'm sure I try to contact support to explain what happen.

few people are leechers, and sometimes it makes me sad for the person who made the giveaway ^^'

(and if someone send me the wrong gift, I tell him and not accept the game... it's a question of conscience and behaviour... )

I make free giveaway cause I still believe that people are good, but more I read on the forum, more I'm disapointed...
With my only 3 giveaways, I've got lucky, good people, good talk even with the different language ;) I feel lucky ;)

Hope it will get better for you ;)

on the blacklist with that ungrateful user..
noone needs it
if it would be allowed i d be happy to see a public shamewall full of users that do such stuff..
honestly.. its better to "not receive" a gift than to send a gift and get screwed afterwards with not even gratitude.. -.-

I am not sure why this thread is still up but please do not repeat a thread like it. The only outcome from these threads is a possible suspension for the creator.

Also, aren't the gifts still in your inventory, meaning that the user either declined them or they are still pending...which also means the winner did what they should?

Closing thread. If you have issues like this in the future, contact support.
