I don't know Galagiveaways, I just visited now for the first time, to see that SG is superiour in games, not only games worth 10c but also games worth 10-50EUR. Also, after seeing Steam & Desura on Galagiveaway I shutted the site down immediatly. I don't like Desura in any way.

I use to win giveaways regularly in Galagiveaways, but everything went downhill when it introduced 'multiple entries'.

I honestly think Steamgifts is a lot better. I have won games on Gameminer, Playblink and here, but never once have I won anything over there. I like entering for bundle games from bundles I missed so I don't really care that so many bundle games get given away there, and it seems nice you can giveaway Desura and Origin games as well (no other sites allow that). The design, however is an eyesore, and I hate that they put their extra competitions right at the top of the page, and there's no way to hide it even when you enter it. I have, however won 2 games from their facebook page (with more effort than most would be willing to put in, might I add).
The only thing I can say I dislike about steamgifts is how the CV for "bundled" games works, and how the community here regards those who give away bundle games. I mean, I enjoy entering them, so why should people be dissuaded from giving them away? And that's another thing at doesn't seem to be present at galagiveaways: I don't see many 'feedback' giveaways. But perhaps that's a discussion for another time, another place.

Steamgifts is clearly better than all of the other giveaway sites, there's no contest really.
For me to even use galagiveaways I have to use a Stylish script so my eyes don't bleed from looking at the extremely bright white site... o_O

Am I the only one hoping this script is not hypothetical?

SG has the CV system, which motivates people and leads to high quality giveaways. Galagiveaways has... well, it has bundle games. ^^

it has feedback system which is very similar to SG CV, but yeah - as long as ppl can earn points to enter everything for 2 months for posting one shitty bundle leftover it won't matter ;) The reason why there's next to none quality GAs on GG is that posting a good games give you not much more than posting a bundle leftover or even free exploited key ;) At least it used to be so, I haven't been on gala for months - not worh the time ;p

oh, it can make a difference. i gave away 3 copies of takedown recently, and got 12 million points for them. with cheap bundle games i would maybe have gotten like 3 million. but whatever, now i have 12 million points and don't know on what to spend it, because i see only crap there. xD

that makes we win, but what i can win, is still mostly crap there. ;)

not really - if you already have big feedback and set up GA right, to get all points boosters possible you'd get much morebundle leftover on gala ;p my last shitty bundle leftover I posted on gala gave me 9.5mil points for a single game woth maybe 10-20cents ;p But really - there was nothing to do with these points, so I stopped visiting the site ;p

and the feedback system is in my opinion not nearly as good as the CV system. what it doesn't do is rewarding for non-bundle games. you get feedback for every game, no matter how cheap it was. that's the main difference. you can easily get 20 feedback and millions of points with a 5$ investment, which then allows to enter absolutely every giveaway you want. at that point you really don't need to give anything more away, except when you run out of points (quick bundle giveaway - problem solved). absolutely not the case here (fortunately). :)

Steamgifts is better in terms of UI, but it's really slow at points and incredibly unreliable as it seems to crash for maintainance all the time. Better forums though, of course.

ofc galagiveaways...they have rules, but no one cares, so you can do whatever you want. They also have much more giveaways than steam and lots of different modes to enter, which are not totally ridiculous and useless. They also have the better games. Last but not least, there are not those elitist jerk private and group giveaways, but only public ones, so everyone gets a chance at their great quality games.
