People still play this? I remember trying it a couple years back and was bored by it. Also my computer can't run it that well.

Yep, just played an online match and every champion was permanently unlocked. Cool thing is they are already unlocked before playing, just not permanently. So you can choose whichever one you like for the first match. It's a fun game. Although the loading screens and search times to find a match were a little excessive. And even though I had about 13 ping, sometimes I would rubber band around for no apparent reason. Still, it's alright.

Nice, but its so easy to unlock champions now, well last time I played...like 10 gems / shards. Already unlocked them all

Years have past since release and game is still registering hits on client side... Not gonna waste 30gb on my hard drive for that.

probably not the first time, i went back a few months ago and for whatever reason they gave me enough shards to unlock every character in the game.

Enjoyed playing it when it was new. Just like the Quake 3 experience. However, when only the hardcore playerbase stayed, the fun left with the newbies. Don't have the time to gitgud anymore...

i have payed 30 euros when it came out for all the champions, now i got nothing like equivalent worth in shards or anything :/

I tried it to get the champions, played a few rounds.
I still like arena shooters, and I still suck at them :)

What bugs me though, is that a game that

• has been out fro three years,
• has micro-transactions,
• has been regularly updated
• has been in HB Monthly
• has switched from retail to F2P over its lifetime

is still marked as Early Access on steam!!

Started it for the first time, could not get into options menu since I had to start a Team Deathmatch as introducion and the game crashed right after finishing the match requesting to fill a crash report -.-

For the first experience... It set all settings to low and reduced resolution to 45%....on 3444x1440... that felt visually worse than playing Delta Force 1 from 1998. Could not get into any other match afterwards, but I got the option to buy a 2 day haste potion for some kind of real money currency... oh and I got some very very legendary stuff out of some loot boxes.

Very solid presentation... at least that explains why it's named free 2 play and not fun 2 play
