i never saw rachel "defending her territory", but people always complained when there was a bundle thread not by her.
that's really sad and puts off anyone else trying to help with deals.

Well, whenever there was a thread made by someone other than Rachel, no matter how informative it was and no matter how long before hers, Rachel made one for that bundle as well instead of maybe giving room to someone else and just let it be. Sometimes reacting pretty pissed (I remember one done by ChibiCthulhu, who even mentioned caring for Rachel's well-being, because he hadn't seen her online, and Rach was not amused). I chuckled :>

No, you don't need to get approval, but most people on SG have gotten so used to the organized and detailed way that Rachel has been creating bundle threads for the last couple of years, that when anyone else posts many get upset and frustrated that the thread is not as helpful or as useful as Rachel's threads are. So, it's not that Rachel is in charge of anything, it's just that she does such a damn good job, that most of us are completely uninterested in seeing posts from anyone else. It's like when you go to a concert to see your favorite singer, and some lousy opening act comes on stage and just bores you to tears, and you want them to go away quickly and for your idol to come out. That's how things have gotten here on SG with Rachel.

How? If the community makes their feelings known, how is that a bad thing? Anyone can post anything, but members of the community can also complain and give negative feedback about what you post. It's always been that way. Nothing has changed. You could post a bundle thread right now. No one is stopping you. That's how communities and society work.

Hey, thanks for the bundle info. Just one quick note though ... "100% Rachel-Approved" kinda
reads like the Bundle itself is Rachel-approved and that she wants us to buy the bundle,
perhaps there's a way to phrase it a bit more neutral? Perhaps leave it away in the heading altogether,
the note should be more than enough to explain that you're helping out. :-)

We have here a saying concerning such people, like that user. It's in Dutch: " Je kan er niet meer uithalen dan dat er inzit " and that roughly translates to " you cannot get out more than what's in them". :-)
