what is the best call of duty u will ever play

cod4, good campaign, good multiplayer, the only one I really liked to be honest.

Modern Warfare 2 was quite moving for me as well.

World At War is a close second though.

There have been no call of duty games worth playing let alone buying made in the last few years. The complete list of call of duty games worth playing goes as follows: Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4. Sadly there are not many competitions running for the first one, and the second one has also died in some countries but is still going strong in others. At this point in time 4th one is where it's at. If you are really passionate about the game and those three just aren't enough for you, then consider Call of Duty United Offensive, which is an expansion for the first, and also Call of Duty 5, which was alright. The later Call of Duty games have been all ruined by the producers.

TL;DR CoD4, CoD2 and Cod1 are worth playing, otherwise save your money cause the rest are shit and those who are responsible for the production of CoD6 onwards did such a shockingly bad job (or good job of ruining it depending on how you see it) that they should have been drowned at birth.

cod 1 and 2

Call of duty 2 was damn awesome,then cod 4 was nice and world at war,the rest have a nice continuing story although not much of the multiplayer.

Cod 4 when I got the game ( in disc) I played it over 1000 hours

but on steam I played MW2 420 hours

In my opinion, MW3's campaign was the best campaign I've ever played. Too short, though. The multiplayer, etc, SUCK. So my favorite COD games are MW2 and Black Ops.

I have the best memories with CoD 1. Playing with friends on multy, everyone picking snipers and sniping each other on Pavlov... aaah good memories. I loved that game.

I really liked MW3 and I bought BO:2 some time back so now I'm waiting for BO:2 :P

Anything before MW2

I loved CoD4. I remember how blown away I was when the city your character was in nuked and you just slowly crawled around, dying. It was so unique, that little bit of interactivity with the scene just made it powerful.
