Thank you a lot for your interest.
As usual, we'll head over to staff voting and announce lucky winners in around 2 days from now. If you happen to be chosen, you can expect friend invite on Steam from one of our staff members.
Good luck! :3

just curious, as now with comment deleted idk who was writing what ;p - if user directly asks for something and I reply to his question - is it still calling out? cause then it's kinda bs :/ Let's say user asks me "why am I BLed?" I answer "because of your unactivated wins" and I get suspended for calling out someone who asked me directly for answer?
Comment has been collapsed.
is it still calling out?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answers: There isn't any "calling out" guide we have, it depends on a personal interpretation of each support member, in specific cases.
However, I believe this one is straight-forward calling out since there are lots answers you can give without disclosing information that may lead to flaming, hate and/or witch hunts which are all that calling out rule seeks to prevent.
Answers, in this case, such as:
I'll add you on Steam and explain. (to prevent it from going public)
I'll explain in one of your GA's and then delete the comments (if the user really wants to know)
You had some behavior to which I don't agree with.
Etc..
We can't suspend a user for calling out himself, however, if he incites someone to do it, it's still calling out

then it's utter bs, sorry... I have been in situation in the past when BLed user straight up lied on forums in my discussion, making up stories about why he got BLed - and according to your answer I'd still would not be able to defend myself, because I cannot say because I will call him out.
Comment has been collapsed.
Like I said, it depends on the situation, personally, I wouldn't suspend someone on a "Because you broke rules" regarding such situations.
However, you could plainly say "That's a lie" and move on. I can see why you would want to clearly state so I will bring another one onto the subject to see what are their thoughts about it

Hey Zelg, this is the way I would look at the situation.
If someone asks why you blacklisted him you could ignore him. If he continues to persist, you can state "I have my reasons/I want to/ etc." and leave it at that. If he continues to rail, you can continue to ignore him, because it does not matter why you blacklisted the person in the first place. You do not need to justify yourself, since this is a personal choice. There is no point in "defending" yourself since there is nothing to defend nor any solid argument that would be considered valid by all. This is your choice and only your opinion matters in this situation.
In this case, you are merely trying to prove someone wrong by publicly correcting them on the reason why you blacklisted them. The forums is not the place to do that. If you truly wished to let someone know why, you can speak to them privately, since this is a private issue that only concerns two people and has no relevancy to anyone else outside of those who like watching shit flying around.
This is my thoughts on this particular matter.

It looks like I am late...again. =o= I was busy working recently. So, until next time~

All weeb trash, except PeteOzzy, because he's a support member and he'll ban me if I say otherwise.

Don't let it get yourself down ;) From what I can tell being persistent is a big plus when it comes to joining Touhou. I know there are people who applied 3 times before they finally made the cut. What also seems to help (at least I think it did in my case) is showing interest in the group. You don't have to pour your heart out but maybe tell people a little bit about you, what kind of stuff you like or why you want to join the group and what aspect of it is the most interesting for you and which are not as important.
I haven't +1ed anyone this round because I'm new to the party myself but if I'm online next round you got my +1 ;)
Not that it really matters. 2hu isn't a democracy and member votes don't count for the final tally but it certainly can't hurt.

Thanks! I'm not one for blowing my own horn and my SG profile needs some improvement (I've been very lucky). I'll keep at it. 🙂

Ladies and Gentleman
Quiet Touhou Swing starts playing in the background for jbondguy007...
What is Touhou Giveaways?
The Touhou Giveaways group was founded by Archi on February 18th 2015. We're small, ratio-based group, sharing the spirit of giving away and winning games on SteamGifts. You might already recognize us from awesome events that we organize from time to time.
We have implemented many unique features into the simple concept of a private giveaway group, and today we are probably the most "technologically advanced" group that exists on SG. The objective is simple: the group should be a nice addition to the SteamGifts community and should require no extra effort from the member. Therefore, apart from the group on Steam we have a bot, chat, website, userscript, daily gaming sessions, touhou radio, you name it.
All group giveaways are tracked by our bot, which automatically handles everything - adding new giveaways to the database, spotting winners, calculating points and ratio, detecting current/finished giveaways, preparing statistics, and much more. We even reward members with our very own touhou achievements for winning giveaways! Our group is fully automated, and thanks to that, our members can focus on having fun with creating and winning giveaways, instead of being forced to manually add them through the website or post links in some kind of group thread. This way everybody is happy to make giveaways the same way as public or private ones, and ArchiBoT does everything else. We even created our own userscript which enhances further SG experience, it's really awesome.
Basically you could say that we're having fun while the entire group is run by ArchiBoT... :3
To make the precious data gathered by the bot available for the members, we also coded our very own Touhou Giveaways website, which acts as a "frontend" to the data gathered by the bot. Members can check their stats, ongoing giveaways, points and many other useful information we provide in a nice, fancy and modern way. We even have a shop with some extra neat features, where you obtain coins by participating in giveaways and earning achievements. Capitalism, ho!
We're always actively working on improving our group even further. Many things are being added and improved as the time goes. It's not possible to list them all, as we're constantly bringing up new ideas how to further enhance our group and ensure that it's the best possible SG group experience that can ever happen to SG user.
Group goals
Touhou Giveaways is not a typical giveaway group that can be found on SG - we're more like our own small community of people that like spending time with each other, be it by chatting, playing or discussing SG
rantsthreads. We actively focus on the community aspect of the group - everybody knows each other, we chat together, play together and win giveaways together. If you treat SG group as a source of games only, or how I like to call it - "anonymous gifters", most likely this group is not for you.I highly recommend joining us on the chat if you want to get more info, ask a question, or simply talk with us. Doing so will greatly increase your chances of joining, while at the same time finding out if you like our companionship or not. We don't force any member or a candidate to stay on our chat for the entire time, but no interaction with group members apart from SG is rather discouraged and decreases your overall member potential. Show us that you care and that you're really determined to join, and most likely you'll get rewarded for your effort. Let's say it's kinda "hard" to get an invite, considering the amount of people that want to make it in, so if you want to join, you will need to shine above average candidate. And no, we do not judge you based on SG ratio, number of giveaways, or a level. In fact, we're up for inviting people we can have nice chat and fun with, rather than L10 "generous gifters" that consider themselves elite above everybody else. Remember - community first, giveaways second.
Chat is always open for everybody, including our members, people interested in joining, as well as lurkers, eternal guests and those who simply like our companionship. Don't be afraid of joining if you'd like to, regardless if you want to join the group or not - everybody is welcome, and it's a great place to make some new friends. Why not give it a try?
Members expectations
We're looking for members who:
Please notice that those are only "guidelines" who we're looking for, you don't need to fill all of them, as the only "real" requirement is having 2+ level on steamgifts, but due to the fact that there is always a massive amount of people applying, the more you fit our concept of the member, the bigger the chance of you making it in. "Normies" are also accepted, you don't need to have any interest in Touhou, anime or anything else to be eligible for joining - it's you as a person that matters, and if you like our companionship. We're here to have a great time together, ArchiBoT is in charge of making it possible to happen :3.
If you consider yourself a good addition, do not wait and try your luck, as next recruitment will be not sooner than in 3 months from now. Tell us why you would like to join the group, and why you consider yourself as a good candidate. We accept applications in this thread, which doesn't have to be super-long or CV-like, but telling a few words about yourself is greatly appreciated. The more effort you put into this, the bigger the chance you'll make it in, and this is why you're here in the first place, so make it count!
After the deadline, all applications that meet initial requirements (rules) will be reviewed by our staff - candidates who get most points in our private staff voting will get an invite to the marvelous world of Gensokyo, together with introduction done by one of our staff members. We will slowly introduce you into our community and teach everything you need to know to have a great fun not only on SG, but on Steam as well.
This is not a speed-run - we choose new recruits after the deadline, so it's very usual case to see over 30+ people applying for 10 slots that we prepared in the group. That's pretty normal, so don't be afraid of posting, we're looking for quality, not quantity - position on the list doesn't matter at all.
If you're confused, or you'd like to take a look how our previous recruitment looked like, please click here. You can also read our introduction for new and interested members, which explains further group and various details, although if you make it in, you'll get more familiar with how things work, so don't have an impression like it's hard because of this wall of text - I can assure you that it's not!
If you have some additional questions, it would be best if you joined our chat and asked - somebody for sure will be happy to answer, and explain in details particular subject you're interested in. You can also ask in the thread if you'd like to.

This recruitment
Currently we're looking for up to 10 new members.
Here you can find a giveaway, open for everybody
The deadline for posting an application is equal to the time above giveaway ends. If you meet initial group requirement, you'll be listed as valid candidate (linked to your application) below. Being a candidate does not guarantee getting invited, that's also why there is no limit of candidates. Feel free to check previous recruitment linked above if you want to see how it works in detail.
After the deadline, we'll organize inner group staff voting and pick lucky winners out of valid candidates, based on our sole discretion (which is based mostly on our expectations stated above). When the voting ends, all results will be announced, together with list of people that made it in. If you were chosen, you can expect a friend invite on Steam from one of our staff members soon.
If you decide to apply, please state it clearly so we won't have any doubts if you're interested in joining or just casually posting - we can't read people's minds, and won't attempt to do so. If you miss being considered as a candidate due to non-obvious comment, you'll be the only one to blame :3.
Good luck!
