After reading this thread and its comments/replies, I decided that you seemed like a pretty nice person. For that reason, I'll go out of my (lazy) way and properly welcome you and give you a few tips about Steamgifts, especially the forum.
If you are planning on being active on the forum (which I highly recommend, this is a great community and more than just about giveaways), you should probably know about forum giveaways. Not only are there fun puzzles to solve, but the odds are much better than public giveaways, depending on the difficulty of the puzzle.
So yeah, here's a link to a guide about forum puzzles and how to solve them.
There are also simple forum giveaways like "giveaway trains", which you simply have to click the giveaway link and enter the chain of private giveaways.
And a plus about being an active forum user (providing that you are a nice person, of course)? You might eventually get in people's whitelists. The odds of winning in whitelist giveaways are crazily high. And hey, you might even get invited to a private giveaway group! :D

Taking a break from = Lurking forums before I go to bed and not making THAT many GA's while I prepare for my career and start earning money that I will turn around and spend on trains because I'm addicted, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Just trust me, lurk and enjoy the time while you can. One day you will be working 6 days a week and be too exhausted to even deal with going through the steps of making a GA train so it takes you like 3 weeks to make one.
Also, the only way an addict like you would ever be offline that long is with a second account! 1+2+3 = 6, 6 / 2 accounts is 3, 3 sides of a triangle, Student of Illuminati confirmed.

I created the Steam profile some time ago, but I don't have a computer on my own, so I have to use my friend's computer. He was the one who told forced my to join the Dark Side. Pretty much I know about Steam and SteamGifts was he who told me.
