I wonder how we are suppose to complete it. I downloaded epic launched and figured the only way to create account was in-game. But the game just started in tutorial when I launched.
Would be wierd if they want confirmation that you created a Epic account, because that has nothing to do with the game.

I think the guy who prepared that quest rejected all valid screenshots in previous quests (he don't have a clue why he wrote that quest and what steps users should do to complete it).

You dont need to complete tutorial to get to menu. Dont know if there is a quicker way, but you could just quit the game and start it again.

Did your screenshot of main menu get approved? They rejected mine, dont know why because I couldnt see the whole message,
Edit: I even played tutorial and did a print where it shows my nick and thought that was the problem that they couldnt verify the user. And they rejected again with:

Yes, I completed this quest (check image below). My screenshot was approved this morning (sent it yesterday in the late evening).
My steps (I hope they will help):
I completed tutorial => opened main menu => created screenshot of full game screen with Windows standard "Snipping tool" (at the bottom left corner you can find version number - may be on your screenshot was part of screen not full game screen).
I can assume that guy by mistake took text from 1st quest step where you need to confirm your email account. Probably too many screenshots to check.

It seems Lootboy has gotten a lot better when it comes to duplicated keys, but if you still have doubts about a key, you can use the group below for those giveaways :)
