do you need DIG bundle threads?
I don't really care, but I would lean towards no for the simply fact that DIG doesn't appear to sell quality games most of the time(at least in the bundles).
been watching it for a bit since I learned of it and I have only seen a few decent games, most of it junk/why bother Adult games.
looks mostly good for those wanting large steam libraries for cheap.

A bit, but I get why Lilly stopped here. I'm using https://barter.vg/bundles/17/ since then.

true that and barter it's an awesome tool. you have to go there and learn a bit how things works, tho.
i've also thought about a new SG member that wants to buy keys to create GA's, and finds a dedicated thread with all CV listed etc etc..
meanwhile, thanks for link, Myrsan

this guy would love to do it, but i guess the strong backlash of some users are demotivating ;-) https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/BbZcT/dig-bundles#ilF1kyE

is this correct that lilly is still doing bundle updates for dig on barter? why there but not here?

I can't talk for her, you would need to ask her if it's important for you. But since she is doing all of that voluntarily, I wouldnt question that.
However, I guess it's because on barter sources of tradeables are an important information and DIG is still a common source. So it's less "advertising/recommending", but needed additional information. Also barter is managed by several persons, thus the decision might not be up to her.

There's three extremely obvious potential answers available just by taking a quick glance at the listings present on the linked barter page:
1. DIG releases content at a spam-level rate, and protocol on SG means that that'd all be presented in a single thread (to avoid flooding out higher interest threads), where they'd be presented in more or less exactly the same format as the barter page, making an SG thread needlessly redundant.
2. DIG is pure shovelware, without exception or redemption, and has been for a long time. (By contrast, in the distant past, DIG did at least have occasional decent indie games and decent HOGs.) In fact, for a time DIG was a meme reference on SG for guaranteed bottom-of-the-barrel trashware. eg, "This is the kind of game you'd only find on DIG". Nowadays, the community mostly just doesn't even think about DIG, IG, or Groupees at all, due to the rock-bottom reputations of all three sites and the fact that they haven't had any meaningful presence on SG for several years as a result of such.
3. DIG now mostly offers adult content, which is prohibited by SG's ToS to link to. (ToS, 2. [..] the Content is not pornographic, does not contain threats or incite violence, and does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party). Such links have been heavily moderated in the past (this despite the massive contradiction caused by SG fully allowing soft porn image embeds and porn game listings, both of which moderators have allowed without comment and cg hasn't been willing to accept discussion over). Whatever current day standards for such content are, it'd still be a needless stress to deal with.
Add in the seemingly substantial lack of interest in DIG (plus current day Groupees bundles or ScamGala bundles) here on SG (as re-validated to some degree by the poll in this thread), and the fact that DIG contains a grey marketplace on its website (which are prohibited to link to on SG, and which effectively disables linking to any part of the website) and it'd be a lot of needless effort for her to deal with the hassle of formatting and presenting such threads here on SG (compared to the presumably much lower effort of just inputing bits of data into Barter, which'd handle the formatting on its own).
Are any of those the reason she doesn't do it? Who knows.
But with those already existing, is there even any reason to really need additional clarification?

If you mean ethically, nothing. Afaik.
I just barely see a point in checking out their new deals and bundles. Over 90% of them are overpriced or a collection of rebundles. In the worst case a combination of both. I literally wouldn't be their customer anymore if Group Buy wouldn't exist, to pick some selected few games.

From Lily's "New MASTER LIST of ongoing Steam bundles":
DIG might be selling keys without developers permission, so the keys might be revoked in the future, buy their bundles at your own risk. Source
Starting with DIG Weekly Bundle 800 I will not open or maintain any DIG related threads. (explanation here)
You can also check this post for a summary of what the common practices of DIG seem to be.
They seem to scam developers, steal keys from their customers, and troll them when it comes to complaints. I don't think a site with this history should be supported by either giving them money, nor by offering a platform for them to get more buyers/victims.
(Also, as others stated, the general quality of games is abysmal, but their "business" practice is the main issue)

i'm giving away keys and, sometimes, games. i'm talking about CV and whitelists, not about protecting buyers and victims. nor about Lilly decision.
i'm just missing those threads as a SG member, i'm not finding any links to gray sites here around as per cg decision. so, if he thinks that DIG can't be linked we'll all suit that guideline.
(sorry if it sounds harsh, adam. talking more lightly cos i know you a little more)

And people are talking about the reasons why Lilly doesn't want to do anything with the site, which is similarly a choice as yours was to not care the years worth of unethical behaviour the site's admins shown to both devs and purchasers. You do you, but please do understand that you support something that many people frown upon (and ask around if anybody else supports it as well, and make your life easier by making a nice table of what they sell)
Of course anybody can pick up the job and make posts about the bundles, as you said (and as far as I know) it's not against the rules as per cg's decision. I'm personally very happy about Lilly's decision because those posts only cluttered the deals section - unwanted games from an unlikable source.
In a nutshell: do as you wish, write what you wish - it's just weird that you seem to besurprised by the reactions, while apparently knowing about DIG's infamy.

stopped using the website once they started selling porn bundles and never looked back
also around the same time they stopped giving away steam key freebees

My only experience with DIG was making an account for a single game which was in a bundle that would be cheaper than the base price. I ended up not buying anything because there was a minimum spend for crediting your account higher than the cost of the bundle and I knew I would likely never shop there again.

I'm here for last 10 years and only now noticed "deals" button, thanks to your thread. Not gonna click it anyway xD

No, not at all... sorry Icaio. :o/
I was still checking Lilly's threads out of (morbid) curiosity, but DIG has pretty much always been the bottom of the barrel for me. I do remember buying some bundles many moons ago, just to get easy badges (back then I wanted to get to level 50 on Steam, don't ask me why, I have no idea). Although there was one bundle years ago that imo stood out from the rest, quality-wise: 1C Action Bundle. Sure, they were old and cheap games but at least they weren't the usual shovelwares DIG got us used to. That and, well... the site/owner is sketchy af so I can only say "good riddance". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ciao Naza! loooong time...
can you do me a favor? please completely forget exosyphen, Lilly's old threads and quality of games. you're just a member of this site and want to create giveaways. would it be useful for you having also DIG bundle threads?
SG hosts hundred of giveaways with DIG stuff. each and every day. you can link DIG site with no problems. this kinda reminds me Fanatical Mystery bundles threads.
do not gamble please don't do it.
but it's allowed. it's more than allowed, it's welcome! SG (luckily) gets some funds from Fanatical links. and those threads are terribly useful.
have a giant ice-cone, missed you.

I knoooow, it's been so long.. :o/ I was never a big poster to begin with, but I have to admit I've been even more in lurking mode these past months. Even on Steam. I'm not feeling super talkative nowadays. sowwy
and want to create giveaways. would it be useful for you having also DIG bundle threads
Yes, of course. However, I don't think we can totally brush aside Exosyphen's unethical way of doing business. Having DIG threads on the forum would still promote his store and drive some sales and it'd be exposure I don't think he deserves. The same goes with Groupees, now that they've started reselling Steam keys. But then again, unless CG treats those like gray markets sites, creating DIG and Groupees isn't prohibited so if someone wants to do that, I couldn't care less. In DIG's case though, it'd probably be a real pain in the arse: if I remember correctly, there are several new DIG bundles per week and Exo would swap games within a bundle, keeping up with all the changes might prove to be quite an ordeal.
With that being said, I don't like Fanatical's mystery bundles... but if anything, Lilly's charts detailing the possible drops act as a powerful deterrent in my case, I'm so not tempted to gamble when I see there's nothing I'd be interested in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
All that talk about ice cone... now I want ice cream. :D
missed you too! <3

Everyone loves GAs - they all join your GAs - no matter if you create a GA with a DIG key - thats for sure!!!!1!

DIG makes so many bundles that keeping up is a lot of work, I don't know if anyone is willing to do that.
And then there's the fact that they're a pretty shady store. Asking to pay a minimum far larger than what a single bundle cost, frequent issues with revoked keys, the accusations of them not paying devs. It's been many years since the last time I got anything from them, and the reason why I stopped was because of having to ask their support to replace duped keys multiple times.

Lets not forget the quality of the games DIG appears to sell.
I occasionally see a decent cheap indie among their selection(like 1 in 100 at best).
feels like a CV farm site. how much do they make you buy in for? $5? 10?
I haven't gotten that far with them, prbly just going to stop refreshing their page as I always just see junk. Not even the adult games are the decent ones that I occasionally see.
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope. I've bought from their store before, but in general I don't think the games they bundle are very interesting.

I don't miss DIG deciding to shut down accounts and absorbing already paid for keys back into his pool of keys to sell. But OTOH, it did make deciding not to buy from DIG very easy. It is however a good bundle site if you're looking to build up your +1s quickly and if you like to try out the most Indie of Indie games on Steam instead of Itch and such.
