bump!
played the demo, and it is pretty good! the puzzles are well made, and the animations are just lovely :) no bugs detected.
I think the weakest part at the moment is the UI. it is probably not the final version, but anyway, here's some suggestions:
also, thanks for the giveaways and good luck on finishing/releasing the game! nice work!

Hi everyone, I'm excited to announce that I've released the gameplay trailer for the game and set a launch date. It will be launching to the world on July 15th 2025. I have requested that the game get added to the list for giveaways and closer to that date I will be doing a giveaway, (maybe a little train even), but for now I just wanted to get the word out there and say how excited I am to finally be at this point. It's got cloud saving, achievements and a few little bonuses all included, and I really hope it's a game that lovers of logic will enjoy puzzling over.

I will bump this thread again once I've got some giveaways set up as I know that's the most important thing on SG right. Can't have an announcement thread without giveaways included.

Thanks so much! I've added you to my white list and I'll hopefully also do a blue hearts giveaway so you'll have more chance.

Oh, thank you. Reciprocated (I also like what you do with the bundle information. You stepped into some big shoes, following on from Lilly and are filling them well :)
Am looking forward to your game launching. I currently am grinding through Logic Town. I enjoy it, but miss my pen and paper. I make a terrible mess, but seem to think better when I can scrawl over stuff. Selecting things on the screen does not have the same feel (plus I have a tendency to waver my mouse and select the item just above or below what I want (stupid mistake :)

Oh yeah I get you. Even in testing my own puzzles, I tend to break out some pen and paper and have arrows pointing everywhere. One thing I aimed to do with this game is to have it be a bit more flexible in how the things are arranged, so you can group things together on the screen and it actually helps a bit with solving.

I like the idea of being able to group things together. That sounds very cool. It sounds like giving the player more ability to sort things out according to how they process the puzzle. Not everyone thinks exactly the same.
I look forward to seeing your finished product :)

Hi everyone,
After a long time of procrastinating and false starts I'm getting to a point where I'll be ready to release my first game on Steam. It's a puzzle/ logic game along the lines of classic logic problems where you need to arrange elements based on the clues. I'm planning on having about 75 puzzles, and it'll amount to about 200 different little characters by the time I'm done. The game itself works and 40 puzzles are loaded in my version, and nearly all 75 of them are written. So still some work for me to do, but definitely at a point where I have something to show and so I think I'm ready to start getting it out there in the public space.
I know it's a very niche concept, and it's not going to be for everyone, but rather than making the usual kind of puzzle games which are usually 'path based' or 'colour match' or 'hidden thing' type games, I wanted something that would be a little different and maybe be more memorable as a result. It's certainly not meant to be a money making racket or a major source of income, and I'm really just hoping some people will enjoy it. It'll be family friendly and the difficulty will probably be about equal to a logic problem puzzle book that you might buy, so hopefully a decent balance that a lot of people can enjoy. I'm also working on a few little secrets and surprises to hopefully make it a bit more fun.
So here it is: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2423100/Terrierble_Logic/
Please use this discussion to pose any questions about the game and offer suggestions. And if the game looks like something you'll enjoy I'd appreciate a wishlist or a follow.
UPDATE: My game is included in the October 2023 Next Fest, under the Puzzles and Logic categories. Please give it a play and let me know what you think so far.
