you do know that ratio on Steamgifts group pages is flawed, right? it counts bundled & non bundled as same. it can be easily exploited by some lucky guy who wins all non-bundled games and gives away bundled games in large numbers...

Yes i know its flawed. And we will refine and add rules until we get them "right" :)
We will monitor people manually also and add our own monitoring system for bundle/non-bundle games. This is just a premilinary rule from which we go. We like to get feedback from our community and listen what they think.

How will the group maintain itself if everyone must have a positive ratio? That means that for every gift received, someone must make a new giveaway (or even more as value ratio must also be positive). With passage of time, the number of positive ratio in must keep increasing. I cannot see how it could sustain itself without either a) some member leaving with below one ratio as they can no longer keep creating giveaways or b) group collapsing. Just a train of thought from a statistical viewpoint.

Thank you! That's the same argument I kept bringing up when bittorrent was all the hype... it's not possible for everybody to have a positive ratio... BUT in this case it should probably work cause you have to have a positive ration in the PUBLIC group to also get an invite into the special PRIVATE group... where I would assume it's okay to be below the average? Not sure if I got that right, but that's how I understood it. Sadly I started out with a bit of a disadvantage by having a negative ration from when this was private group :-P

Bittorrent works in a bit different fashion. There you can have partial copies (you cannot have partial games) and the whole system works even if only one seed is up (that can cover unlimited number of leeches - it works albait slowly). Just commenting here as I have seen this requirement pop up time to time yet I don't know has it ever worked in the long run. Would like to know is it possible.

Yes i know that it is an flawed system. But we will also keep an eye out for users manually. And its not both that must be positive, either one of those just have to be positive. And these are the basic rules that are in place now, we will refine and modify them until we get them "right" :)

These rules are not final! We are thinking about introducing system where we keep "credit" on Google Docs and non-bundle games would not give much credit (or seperate them completely that you cannot enter non-bundles if you have not created one). But we will introduce it little later on but we will start calculating users GA's right away.

We have changed the rules and also something big is coming up!
We currently have very basic rule system in place. We use Steamgifts own system to check that members either have gifts or value in positive. If its negative you have month to be back at positive. Good thing about this system is that you only "lose" points if you win, not from entering giveaways. We are always evolving our rules with members in mind so there is discussion about rules and we want rules that members like so discuss there! :) Rules can be changed!
Also there are some big chances are coming our way! We have high chances of re-opening www.nzti.fi which will have some kind of main site and FORUM! This will boost our community much more! We can use Dynamic SG Signatures, do private GA's and much more there.
Also we got rid of Elite alltogether and will introduce light rules on our Steam Group!
Also we will be adding more features to this Facebook page and more quality stuff and competitions, etc!
I will begin to do this transistion right away but it will take some time. Some things are done sooner and some later but i do not think this takes more than week or max two to get everything done!
