I don't have any experience with Marketing GA's, but I am also interested in the results. SO have a bump, and I have put the game on my wishlist.

Submitted an entry for a 10 copies giveaway of "Predator Simulator" I gave away for my Steam group after the developer had some trouble with keys distribution.
If I recall correctly, the developer posted a discussion in various Steam groups (including mine) and asked for users to vote for the game on Greenlight and leave a comment and that he would send Steam keys to all users once Greenlit. However, that was in the time where Valve were taking action against that practice and his giveaways were "shutdown" - so instead he sent some keys to the owners of Steam groups in which he had posted a discussion. I got 10 keys that way, and attempted to respond to the poll correctly, although there was somewhat a lack of diversity in choices to fit the situation.

I am thinking that it would also be interesting to poll people who participated in marketing giveaways to figure whether it succeeded or failed on an individual level, and why. It might be difficult to see why from the creator point of view.

Good idea, that would definitely be interesting to know. Not sure how to do it though. I suspect the vast majority of people entering a GA don't read the GA description or other people's comments or the forums. So only a few would respond to the poll - there would be a huge selection bias. People who create GAs (or comment on forums:) are by definition more engaged in the community. If you have any ideas around this I'm very interested.

I've never done a giveaway like this so I won't take the survey, but I have to say I found your write up to be very interesting.

I skipped.
Also, I haven't done a marketing GA, so no survey for me.

Hi,
A month ago I wrote a post detailing my experience creating GAs for marketing. Several people made some good suggestions as to what I could do better, or at least differently. One of those was asking other people for their experiences.
To that end, I have created an quick anonymous google survey for other GA creators for marketing to give their thoughts. If you have made a GA for marketing purposes feel free to fill it in. If you haven't feel free to take a look, but please refrain from submitting it. If you know someone who has made a GA for marketing, please pass it on. I'll be adding a link in the comments of the 50+ GAs which mention something marketing related in the text.
Here is the survey
I'm not a marketing or survey professional, so I doubt it is a particularly good survey, but it is a start. I focused on making it fast to fill in, I just want to see who is making these GAs, why, and whether they are successful. There are 9 multi-choice questions, and maybe a 10th text question (depending on the 9th). I specifically left the 10th as text (rather than multi-choice) as I didn't want to lead people.
I'll post the results on the forums in a couple of weeks.
Bundled GA - expired (lvl 3+) for those that have read this far (or just skipped to the end).
Update, 17th July: I'll keep up the survey for another week (until the GA below expires) then I'll take it down for my amateur analysis. At the moment there are 24 responses, not bad.
