well its all games I already have, and 10 dollars, would that make it the most expensive bundle yet?

So thats the pre-order, whats the price once it goes live? The minimum going to be $10ish?
Comment has been collapsed.
Nothing that interesting for me to spend 10 bucks. Meh.

wow, 10$? HIB4 had way better games and it was 1$ minimum...

hmm kinda expensive :/ most those games have been on sale a few times for around $2. I also have a few of them, so i think ill just pass

It will fail worse than the last indiegala, that's for sure.

Simple- DON'T BUY IT MY FRIENDS. I think that it's a little expensive for such games! Too bad!

As I already wrote in the other thread, why are you all writing things like "will sell worse then Indie Gala 2" etc? ^^ I just don't get it. You know that they have already made 125k$ with IG2, right? ^^ Be Mine only made 62k for example.
@Topic: I think I'll also pass. Already own 3 of the games and the only that REALLY interests me is Sol Survivor. What a shame :( 5$ would have been fine for me.

Because they thought they would sell more than their original bundle. Well they didn't even reach the same amount, you can see the saturation while they think people will keep buying anything.
There were other reasons for Bemine not selling that much, LOTS AND LOTS OF SERVER PROBLEMS unable to buy several days after it should have launched and it didn't stop there.

But it still sells pretty good! I mean 125k?
And IIRC the first one didn't got so much money. I think it was ~70-80k? I'm not sure. The 1. one was pretty cheap. You could buy it for only a few $'s. The second one is more expensive because of the different tiers.

To me, these are genres that seem to be over done in the indie market.
How many times have you seen a top-down alien/zombie shooter? Or a "classic" Tower Defence game? I bet it's an aweful lot.
Just hard to compete with those generes where there's so many games that have done them better, even more so with the rise of the smart phone.
Anyway already own the majority of these games and the ones I don't have really don't appeal at all. The price seems rather steep considering the content, bundles have spoiled me that much.
I'm going to assume to T-shirt/DVD deal isn't outside the US or wherever the bundle is located. Unless they plan to make you pay for shipping onto of the bundle price.

To be honest, we are not trying to be like other bundles. 60% of all profit goes directly to devs, and then some to charity as well. This isn't hey we made a game lets sell it for $1, this is a great bundle of games significantly lower than retail price. If that seems to steep for your pockets than sure don't buy. Otherwise 8 games valued at $69.62 for $10 is a 85% Savings, plus DRM FREE bundled OSTS, Original Music, artwork and more, brings it even higher in value. No official announcements have been posted either-way so whats here is hearsay. For those of you whom enjoy games, enjoy the bundle, that's what it's made for. We are not trying to copy any other business model out there - pure and simple trying to make developers money so they can continue to make great games. Sorry if you are disappointed in the not officially announced price point, can't please everyone.

But some of those games were in other bundles, and I think that those games doesn't really worth pay a minimun of $10, so good luck with your sales!

Hey nrn, I understand you, and like I already said, the price is actually very fair. But you always need to keep in mind that 1. most peoples already have a few of those games already and 2. not everyone is interested in all of the 8 games.
If I wouldn't own 3 games of it already, I'd gladly pay the 8$. But yeah... since I already own 3 of them (and some don't interest me that much) it's, atleast for me, a bit to steep. But you are right, you can't please everyone (< but actually that's the reason why many do PWYW^^)

not everyone is interested in all of the 8 games
This.
Part of the strategy of game bundles is to get people the games they want while also introducing them to new ones they're not sure they like yet.

So much this. I think you've all been spoiled by pay your own bundles. Sometimes, it's nice to give the devs a more more than a dollar for what they worked on for so long. If you don't like it enough to pay, then don't, but don't complain about the price just for the price's sake.

Okay, I think I owe an apology and an explanation. I've been expecting the bundle of a while now, but the price has really affected me, not because I think it is expensive (I do not), but because I don't have the possibilities to buy it. I only compared because I thought pertinent. IF I can get the money, I'll buy it, because I do not own any of the games and it's gainful for me. Again, I'm sorry for any a priori judgements, I think I explained myself now :)

The thing is, the bundle consists of 8 indie games, most of us already own at least several of them and the others can always be bought for $2-3 around the web during the numerous sales. I personally am interested in 1 game of these only. Would that make me spend $8? Still doubtful ....
Looking at prices the way you specify it is cool and many people who have some spare money in their pockets will listen and just give them to a good cause. But all the rest of us who are a part of these communities are rather spoilt with bundles, sales and cheaper ways to get something. $8 is the most pricy bundle price as of the moment. The games are ok, but can you compare them personally to the top hits HIB4 had? It made about 2 million dollars. And it had pay what you want model - you could buy it for $0,01 and for $1000.
The whole bundle somehow feels like someone is forcing their success and no buyer really likes that. For example, Still Life 2 yet no Still Life 1? That just screams for come and buy the first one as well. That is just a bit too much for a bundle which asks for $8 on pre-order, double more than the most expensive one at the moment (IndieRoyale).
I would recommend to spread the news about the bundle to as many places as you can. And imo, if there was a way to make it to Steam store front page, that would guarantee you one hell of a sales.
In any way, good luck. :)

You also might want to consider making a get what you want bundle, one that has the option to include only the games you are personally interested in and uncheck the others. Price changes according to that. Would make all these people who are not getting it because they alredy own half of it, get it because of the rest. :)

Your viewpoint and price point are understandable and certainly fair compared to getting the same things outside of your bundle.
One problem I do have though, is pumping up your bundle's perceived value with non game items, like music or artwork. These things are nice, and I'm sure most people would enjoy having them, but I personally am interested in game bundles, for GAMES. While yours and others have OSTs, some bundles have tucked in music that seems random and like a filler. Having things like this as an option, for those who want them, might help get more buyers through the door.
Your option to pay more for games on DVD seems like a great idea, for instance. But, feeling like you paid for a very non-game screensaver you won't use, not so much.

However, the "base price" is more of an arbitrary determination than a true indicator of value.
First, one can set the base price of something at whatever they wish. That said, even if one uses a generally-reasonable number, that still does not mean that consumers will actually buy at that base price. Especially on Steam, which has been well-known for its many sales (not to mention all these bundles), consumers may just be waiting for sales before they decide to buy, even if they want the game in the first place.
Hmm, lemme think about this for a sec...the actual average buy price per unit should be your actual base price times number of expected sales at base price, plus your discounted price (say, 50% off) times number of expected sales at the discounted price. The latter is very likely to be greater than the former, unless you have a ton of hype built up before release (and releases on Steam seem to enjoy 10% off for a week immediately following release, I think).
Will this actual average buy price be higher than a proportionally distributed bundle price? Almost certainly. However, you also have to remember that in a bundle you're also asking the consumer to pay the whole bundle price, rather than to pay the proportion of the bundle price for that one game and be done with it. So determination of value might be the same, but determination of budget is not.

For me it depends on the contents of the bundle.
Looking at the trailer, I don't think I'm interested in any of it at the moment.
Do feel free to try to convince me though.

Edit: I am excited about this bundle and wanted to share a tiny bit of news with others that may also be excited. But I come back and seems I just made things worse; I didnt't meant to hurt anyone, I'm sorry to those people behind indiefacekick for the trouble I caused.
