I've been raving about Net Neutrality to all my friends/family/random passerbys...Nobody seems to understand the huge issue...

That's the trick, for many people it needs to be disguised in a way that it does not come off as preaching/raving, but rather something they've come into on their own and which is relevant to their own interests. It needs a segue and a way to be talked about in normal conversation.
For example, you could bring up a new show you are watching on Netflix or something, talk about how good it is, ask if they have anything they are watching these days. Then make a comment like "it's going to suck when we have to pay extra to stream that stuff". And then that leads naturally into the topic.

I'll give it a try - I'll hope a miracle happens and net neutrality sticks around.

I freaked out years ago after it was first talked about... Wie could have changed something back then. But now? Way too late, way too late! It was too unreal, a too far away fairytail to be something of concern... I dont Mike the way most ppl think only one week ahead and dont care about the future now :(
Here in germany, it was mostly because oft the hughe demand oft HD YT, Netlfix & Co. Streams, but our company in charge of building the Infrastructure is too slow/has not enough money to speed things up, and thought about a New way to get money, because YT and others dont want to pay for upgrading the net. "Not their problem".
Was a " meh" idea i can understand, what else can you do?
And now? It went out of hand...
Im curious about the things to happen, now...
