I am just assuming its plague tale with all the mouse stuff. I will be disappointed if it isn't(as I don't have to much interest in the top wishlisted stuff)
I've done the 1st puzzle, thought it was going to be 2 jigidis(it might be) but im a little lost of where to look on the 2nd atm... maybe after I get some sleep.

something as in manipulate the image, or something as in just examine its details? And do we need to decrypt anything?

I am also stuck on part 2. I tried a bunch of things, but don't know what I am looking for.
Edit: I finally managed to solve it and now have some new knowledge to help me in future puzzles.

144 piece pretty nasty jigidi, that likely you didn't even care to solve yourself, that leads to another puzzle, possibly unsolvable for some of those, that have finished the jigidi... and if solved only to possibly learn, that they own the game or that they are not interested in it, because you insist on giving just hints (and 1st of them being actually incorrect) instead of clearly naming the game in question. No, thanks.
Incorrect, because it's certainly not a "mouse story" but "rats story" - "When XXXGAME launches later this month, it will be able to display a staggering 300,000 rats on screen at one time." And to add another hint for those, that have read so far, it's a 50 point giveaway, but don't search for a $50+ game - the game is a $49.99 game on the above mentioned list.

there is way to much solid black in this puzzle.
I don't really mind these kinds of puzzles because I go by shape and not image usually. I guess it's just me but I found it fun.
On the other hand, the OP is entitled to make a hard puzzle for their GA if they want to, I mean... there are mind boggling puzzles on SG that are way harder to solve. This one just needs a little more time.
I get it's not as fun as more colorful puzzles for most though.

most definitely, also in this case the 1st puzzle is so unnecessary as the 2nd puzzle is already really hard for many... I have thrown everything at the guide at that image... and I can't figure out the solution for the 2nd puzzle.
only hint we have is it will be local on the PC.
I have manipulated that image is so many different ways, can't find a hint of hidden text
viewed exif/meta data, no dice
nothing seems to be archived into the image, so nice there
tried opening in notepad, can't find anything
etc...
just hoping I don't need photoshop or some other premium software to get it...

On a 2nd thought, reading your comment, I must admit, that I've got a bit carried by my own preferences and that I've forgot about our (?) past discussions (2y ago or so) about how different are people's preferences about jigidi puzzles. So, yes, it should say: "Pretty nasty for at least some of us 144 piece jigidi..."
