Even when they are giving away they are "scamming" people. I won Burnout Paradise Steam key from from Crazy Free Weekends,, tried to trade it and it turned out to be a key for Origin. Later I won Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III. Made a giveaway for that game here and it turned out to be a key for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Master Collection.

kinguin is actually safer then g2a, ive bought from kinguin 30+ times and never had an issue, and the one time i did have an issue i contacted support and they fixed it instantly

Yes to this, in my experience they were really helpful and they really urge sellers to take action with customer tickets, or the money is withdrawn from the seller account in 24 hours. None of that on G2a, waiting months for nothing

Me too, got Resident Evil 5 Gold, Batman Arkham Asylum and worked perfectly too.
People here crying cause they got something bad, yes its sad and can happen sometimes. But its not that many times, where that happen.
If now everyone say here not working or different Game, then i would over think that. But so many People got there something and didnt said, i had a Problem and that few People where got a Problem say, they would be a scammer and they would be bad.
That is sad, if have Problems then open a damn Support Ticket, explain in a nice way your Problem and then will be fixed, as soon as possible. But no, here they rather crying around like little Babies and make them bad and give them faults, where it is sometimes their own fault in End too.

The kotaku one is from 2015 (not quite sure if it's related also) and the reddit post is marked as 1 year old, either they're going bankrupt really slowly or the info isn't exactly accurate. It would be kinda strange for a company to pull a promotion like the crazy weekends for 3 months straight if they were that desperate for money, it was kinda obvious after a few weeks that most people were only interested in the freebies and nothing else, it was clearly a PR move and little more.
