Your favorite horror game ?

I generally don't find horror games to be interesting. Making me jump is not a game mechanic that keeps me interested.

However! Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube was amazing

Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Cryostasis.

Silent Hill 2. Scariest game of all time. Followed closely by Silent Hill 1.

Siren: New Translation and Clock Tower.

Amnesia, Slender, Sillent Hill, Dead Space and Resident Evil

Silent Hill 1 through 4. The best story among those is probably in Silent Hill 2, but I love them all.
Edit: Damn it, I forgot the magnificent Rule of Rose! A fantastic game, up to par with early Silent Hills to me.

Doom, Silent hill, and Fear used to scare the crap out of me. But, my favorite horror game in terms of gameplay so far is Dead Space.

Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica & Silent Hill 1, 2 , 3 & 4.

Amnesia is great but I can't bring myself to finish it, after 10 mins playing my nerves are fried and I have to quit. Do have fond memories of Gabriel Knight 1 though when I was small. 1st game I played as an all-nighter cos I couldn't save on my crappy 386 (not enough memory I think)

LOL old silent hill > amnesia... the fuck is amnesia.game sucks horror? let me laugh it's walking park that game.

Going to have to go with Amnesia, haven't been able to finish it though, since my laptop runs it at around 20 fps and the low graphic quality ruins the atmosphere.
