many more hours of gameplay from Oblivion - tough choice tho

I've followed the TES series since Daggerfall, and I've played every single TES game released on PC (there were some cellphoen ones that I've not played). I would still say Dishonored. Oblivion is the only TES game apart from Arena that I just could not find the willpower to play through, it's just so not well designed and boring.

Total amount of time is not the best comparison between games, especially when you compare with an open world games.
It does give an idea of how much you enjoyed the game because you played it so long, but there are many hours lost in that count for the most basic repetitive tasks...mostly just walking.
I really liked Oblivion, but preferred Skyrim on most points (apart from the disastrous inventory system). Stil prefer Morrowind to those 2.

There is something called DIFFICULTY LEVELS and there are 4 of them .
Try to play on Very Hard and beat the level as a Ghost without killing anyone and without saving a lot.
Try To complete all Trials in Dunwall City Trials DLC.
And then come back here and write once again that this game is too easy

Sigh... I believe when games start to rely on the 'Very Hard' difficulties and those perfect run achievements to get a level of challenge from the player, then we are getting spoiled.
Can you honestly tell me that Blink, Dark Vision, Bend Time, Agility are not a tad bit overpowered for a normal walkthrough? It would've been perfect if they placed those abilities coupled with obstacles that needed those PLUS a bit more thinking. A lot of times in the game, I just use an ability and poof obstacle cleared.

I agree, not trying to Dishonor Dishonored or anything.

If you happen to like Oblivion, you'll get much more out of it than Dishonored. Not all people like Oblivion, though. I'd recommend to try Dishonored now that it's free until tomorrow.

I got bored with Oblivion very quickly, once I got to the part where you have to close some portals, and it's basically the same mission about 8 times I think, so painfully long that I just cheated and flew trough the map. I liked Dishonored a lot more, but it does have much less playtime.

Oblivion is really good, but since you already have Skyrim, which is different but overall quite better then Oblivion, go for Dishonored.
And Since you like Stealth games, you won't be disappointed.

Spaghetti or pumpkin pie?
How can you even try comparing those 2 games ?

He tries to decide what to do with his budget. It's not comparing really.
If you're into RPGs more than stealth games: Get Oblivion. If you're into stealth games more than RPGs: Get Dishonored. Oblivion can get samey, but Shivering Isles is a must play in my book.

To be honest, I prefer Dishonored, but it depends on your personal preferences. I think that Dishonored is much more thrilling, has more action, better weapons, better enemies, and a lot better graphics.

Play Dishonored for free this weekend, then you'll know...

For me Oblivion >= Skyrim
It has the best guilds ever, mainly the Dark Brotherhood, its just epic!

It does, just not as good, on that note the Dark Brotherhood was literally the only good part of Oblivion imo....

Dishonored is on a free weekend now so I gave it a try, and I say buy Dishonored.
Seems to be a pretty decent game, I'm enjoying it very much so far :)

You mean 'Game of the Year' and 'Game of the Year Deluxe' editions. One has the two major DLCs—Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles—in addition to the base game, and the other has the aforementioned content in addition to the various 'player homes' additional magic, and gag content.

Skryim is better than Oblivion and if you enjoy Hitman and Splinter Cell, you should enjoy Dishonoured.

If the choice is between Oblivion and not Oblivion, then go for not Oblivion (in this case Dishonored). This TES veteran still holds grudge towards Oblivion due to its general lack of quality content, horrible writing and voice acting that would make an elementary school project look good. (Well actually, the voice actors are not "that" bad, but hearing exactly the same voice on so many NPCs, and sometimes hearing them in two vastly different tones depending on what dialogue choice is a real immersion breaker).
Though if the choice can be expanded to Morrowind, go for Morrowind (and remember to mod it).

If I have to choose only one from GMG, which one should I get?
I enjoyed Skyrim and I love stealth games like hitman, Splinter Cell etc.
