Now that the summer sale has ended (well ended like 1-2 days ago, I was gone on vacation) what was the most played game that you bought?

For me it had to be GTA V. I originally had them on console, but I never bought a GTA game on PC and decided to buy it while it was on sale for the mods and features that PC would have over the consoles.

Then while I was on vacation I was playing a lot of Stardew Valley (this works on my laptop. but GTAV doesn't) and I think the third game that I played a bit, but not as much as GTAV or Stardew Valley would be Empyrion Galactic Survival.

I haven't played any of them yet. I bought at the last moment before the sale ended. :)

Same here. I only bought 4 games and 2 DLC, but I'm currently too busy with another play through of Fallout New Vegas to play anything else right now.

Didn't buy anything. I sold 5€ worth of cards, though. Gonna use it on the next sale. I'll never spend real money on Steam store ever again, not as long as they remain as anti-consumer.

Thea:The Awakening. 36 hours logged. So far it's the best of what I've tried from my purchases but still a lot left untouched.

I bought Transistor, Darkest Dungeon and NBA Playgrounds... and most play in Darkest Dungeon right now - awesome game!

Dead End Road. Steam says I've played for 6 hours, but I don't think that's quite correct... I'm pretty sure I paused the game a few times because I had something else to do. Anyway... I can say that wishing for a kitten when calling upon the dark forces does not unlock one of the secret endings.

And that makes me really, really sad. ;_; A kitteh ending would have been beautiful.

That's probably because Tom Jones wished exactly for the same decades ago. He made a pact with the devil, he got 'em all and now the dark lord is out of stock of pussycats.

The only thing I bought was DLC for a single game, but I've not touched it yet.

Well, I forked out ~$20+ for Fallout 4's Season Pass (with great hesitation...) early during the sale but I enjoyed the new content and the plethora of mods I'm able to install with it.

VVVVVV

I'm pleased/angered about the fact that clearing the campaign nets you a grand total of one achievement. Everything else requires quite a bit of skill.

My answer to this is not a meaningful one, because I tried all of them out and sorted them into my backlog categories (Beat/Maybe/No) but didn't actually play any of them for a significant length of time.

As for which ones I expect to play the most, though, probably either Red Faction, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, or Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD. All three of them made it into the "Beat" section, so I'll be going back to them for sure at some point.

Just 2 or 3 hours o Hollow Knight. And only today.
...because i spent the entire sale deciding what to buy with my budget.

And yeah. It took me the whole sale to decide. Huge wishlist. Checking up what was bundled or not before, lowest prices, other stores, watching and reading reviews, comparing countless possible carts 'would i rather get this or this?', downloading demos where i could find then, more reviews...
Not to mention trying to find out wich games raised in price before sale. And checking foruns for reading on bugs mentioned, if updates fixed then...

If steam were more garanteed with refunds it would have been much easier- buying one cart, trying, refunding, another one...
BUT
So many refunds in such a short time and i would get all kinds of restrictions (and perhaps in refunding too, not sure) so...

I ended up tired (i went all night the night before yesterday). Today i didn't had much time.. :P

And theres still some fresh wins from sg and bundles to play. Oh my backlog!

What you didn't spend on this sale will save for the winter holiday sale, and a fresh batch of painstaking games research. I know that pain though, but I narrowed it all down nicely and am satisfied with all but one of my purchases, which is the horizons DLC for Elite Dangerous which I have yet to play yet. It does help that I sold most of my old stuff from TF2 that I never play any more, got a solid £7.35 for it all. Marketplace ho~

Market place!! \o/

I don't think im disapointed with any of my purchases yet- i mean if all that research meant something is that i definetly didn't get anything i won't enjoy. If they will live up to expectations however is another story but expectations are always hard to match; Thankfully ive learned for some time now to keep mine in check.

But i may be disapointed in a few hours (and next week) depending on what new bundles will be revealed- some of the games i bought are good candidates to bundles, most and foremost of appearing as a HB monthly - and the next one i already subscribed for will reveal in a few hours.

Its not that i mind repeats too much (more to giveaway, and i enjoy sharing) but that will mean precious budget i could have used for another most wanted. There were some left... its always a gamble nowadays.

If i didn't wanted some of these games so freaking much i could have squized my wallet some more and grabbed Nier and then no worries of bundles anytime soon. But damn my wishlist is big and i needed to fix some missed titles.

PS: and im still very, really mad of how shovel knight was repackaged with a higher price. I even ranted at their foruns(and im one that dislike ranting, but hey, at least i wasn't alone). It was my first one for the sale, the first i searched for... but no, of course they couldn't leave the base game without dlc at a acessible price. 'No time' they said. For that price alone i got hollow knight and ori, both newer and as good or more. I know the game is good but its from 2014 fgs! It isn't gold! I don't want dlc yet!
...sorry, here i am ranting again ¬¬
Didn't bought it because of price and other games but really wish i could :P

Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition. Have beaten game and story DLCs 3 times. Well, tbh it's the only game I bought this summer sale

Wait... you people actually PLAY the games you buy during the sales?
I've been doing this all wrong!

But seriously, I probably won't be playing them until the end of the month. Got a small stack of timewaster games to nibble at between sessions of tinkering with Gamemaker Studio 2 and... well... just trying to download the games themselves. Wonky slow connection vs a 15, 16 and 20gb download, and a 150gb monthly data limit except for after midnight and before morning kicks in. C'mooooon 3 weeks, hnnng.

What I bought :
Half-Life Bundle (Classic HL+ BlueShift and Opposing Force)
Pony Island+Soundtrack
E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy
Brothers a Tale of Two Sons
Daedalic Adventure Bundle (was missing Silence and Candle)
Golf it
OneShot
Rain World
Dishonored
and a handfull of different Soundtracks which were on sale too (Hyper Light Drifter, Ibb&Obb, Layers of Fear, Trine 2, Dustforce and ABZU). Damn I bought way too much stuff D:

Only played through Pony Island (2 hours), some Golf it (~2 hours) with my gf over the internet and started a playthrough of E.Y.E. with a friend after some connection hicups (6 hours). Brothers and the P&C Adventures have to wait until I find the time to play them together with my gf.

I was pretty entertained beating Arkham Origins (bought during the previous sale, yes, the christmass one) during the sale so I didn't touch any of the games I bought, now I just need to wait untill the next sale to play Arkham Knight :P
But in all seriousness I rarelly play games immediately after buying them, they normally wait in my library for a few months or years before I get around to play them. I did play a bunch of Rocket League the last couple of days and I've been using the DLC car that I bought on the sale tho, but I don't think a DLC for a game I play every week counts.

Dead Cells for me followed by Hollow Knight which so far isn't impressing me so much. The mapping system could be better to say the least but will keep playing to give it a fair chance :)
